# How to get and use a sign

**How to get a sign:**\
 Give yourself a **nether brick** with the specific **Custom Model Data**. For example if you wanna get a Stop   sign (ID: 51) then you should use this command:\
&#x20;**`/give <player> minecraft:nether_brick{CustomModelData:51}`**\
&#x20;You can check the number of the Custom Model Data at below.<br>

**How to use the signs:**\
&#x20;First of all you need a **small (baby) armorstand**. I prefer using this plugin to create and edit armorstands:\
&#x20;<https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/armor-stand-tools.2237/>\
&#x20;Then you need to put a column into the armorstand's head.\
&#x20;Column: `/give <player> minecraft:brick{CustomModelData:1}`\
&#x20;Then you have to get the signs and put them into the armorstand's arms.
